Parquet Production

Parquet is one of the most popular and sought after floor coverings. It is made by manufacturers in Russia and in other countries from a solid mass of wood using special equipment. The production of this material is a complex and responsible process, on which the qualitative characteristics of the coating depend.

For the production of parquet should have special equipment. It includes sawing machines, drying units, grinding machines for saws and a press for gluing. Parquet production is based on the use of special devices that accurately perform each component. It can be planing, milling and end machines. All major appliances should be located in close proximity to each other.

REFERENCE! If the workshop is small-sized, then part of the actions can be performed in other utility rooms. Preparatory work in most cases is carried out in an open area under a canopy.

In general, the parquet business is popular among investors and entrepreneurs. The profitability of the business is, according to various estimates, about 15%. In the selection of equipment, it is necessary to take into account the type of manufactured products. Economy-class products require much less financial investment, and the manufacture of high-end products will require additional procurement of additional mechanisms.

Only the most valuable wood species are used in the coating industry. Traditional materials are oak, walnut, birch, maple, ash and beech. Olives, merbau, cherry, chocolate tree and others are considered exotic. Exclusive breeds have improved performance. So, they are much more resistant to moisture and temperature changes. In the manufacturing process, it is necessary to combine different types of wood. The starting material is small blocks of 10 mm thick.

IMPORTANT!Before manufacturing, make sure that the tree is well dried. Otherwise, the finished floor covering may warp. Humidity according to GOST should be no more than 3-9%.

The technology for the production of parquet at each manufacturer is approximately identical. Differences occur only in the sequence of stages and some processing methods. In addition, the quality of the final product depends on the attitude of the manufacturer to the production process and the implementation of control at each stage of work. Consider the main stages of coating production:

  • Preparatory stage. When the wood is in the storehouse or in the storage point, it is important to carefully prepare it for further work. It must be checked for mechanical damage and other flaws. Defective raw materials are not allowed to work.
  • Drying sorted products. In special drying compartments of a tree species a couple of months lie under the influence of high temperature. At this stage, the material is heat treated.
  • Sawing up of timber. During this step, the coating is given the desired configuration.
  • Some parts are glued together with a special press.
  • Coating polished products with varnish or oil and sending them to the finished goods warehouse.
  • After the finish coating, the raw materials are dried in the chamber under the influence of UV radiation.

REFERENCE!Thanks to heat treatment, the tree is durable, dense and resistant to various kinds of mechanical stress.

Among the few drawbacks of the coating, it can be noted that the product must be protected from exposure to high temperatures, moisture and chemical compositions. In addition, the canvas pattern has a one-sided orientation. The listed disadvantages are compensated by the versatility of this product and its practicality. The significant advantages of this coating include the following:

  • • A variety of color shades
  • Good durability and long life
  • Suitable for decoration in classic style.
  • The product is sold ready-made and can be laid immediately after purchase
  • Simple and convenient installation due to the presence of a convenient lock
  • Resistance to mechanical damage.
  • The material can be laid on the heated floor, pre-installing waterproofing.
  • The length of the strips is conveniently adjusted to the dimensions of the premises by conventionally cutting off the excess part.

ATTENTION!Parquet board is an environmentally friendly and safe product for human health.

High-quality parquet must have the necessary certificates of confirmation of quality. With the right choice of material and flooring, the coating will last its owner for many years.
